Position Summary

The MuleSoft Developer is responsible for designing, building, testing, and deploying robust API-led integration solutions on MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform. This role connects disparate enterprise systems, cloud applications, databases, and third-party APIs (such as Salesforce, ERP systems, and legacy infrastructure) to ensure seamless, secure, and scalable data flow across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

API-Led Connectivity: Design and implement RESTful and SOAP APIs across Experience, Process, and System API layers following MuleSoft’s API-led connectivity architecture.

Integration Development: Develop complex integration flows, message routing, and data transformations using Anypoint Studio, DataWeave 2.0, and Java.

API Management: Build and publish APIs using Anypoint API Designer, API Manager, and Exchange; configure policies for rate limiting, security, and SLA enforcement.

Connector & Protocol Configuration: Implement out-of-the-box and custom MuleSoft connectors to interface with systems like Salesforce, SAP, relational databases (SQL), message brokers (Kafka, Anypoint MQ, JMS), and AWS services.

Testing & Quality Assurance: Create automated unit and integration tests using MUnit; perform debugging, performance tuning, and root-cause analysis on integration bottlenecks.

CI/CD & Deployment: Package and deploy applications across hybrid, cloud (CloudHub), or containerized runtime environments (Runtime Fabric / RTF) using Maven, Jenkins, Git, and DevOps pipelines.

Security & Compliance: Apply security best practices including OAuth 2.0, SAML, TLS/SSL encryption, and secure handling of credentials using Anypoint Secrets Manager.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.

Experience: 3–5+ years of hands-on experience developing enterprise integration solutions, with at least 2+ years dedicated to MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.

Core Technical Skills:

Proficiency in DataWeave, Mule Runtime (Mule 4.x), and Anypoint Studio.

Solid understanding of REST/SOAP web services, JSON, XML, RAML, and OpenAPI specifications (OAS).

Strong foundation in Java, object-oriented programming, and relational databases (SQL).

Working knowledge of Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP) and event-driven architecture.

DevOps & Tools: Experience with version control (Git), build tools (Maven), and automated deployment pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications: MuleSoft Certified Developer – Level 1 (Mule 4) or MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect.

Ecosystem Experience: Hands-on integration experience with Salesforce (Sales/Service Cloud, Platform Events, CDC) and enterprise ERPs.

Experience with message queuing systems (Anypoint MQ, Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ) and microservices architecture.
