Position Summary
The Salesforce Architect serves as the chief technical strategist and system planner for the organization's Salesforce ecosystem. This role bridges business vision and technical execution by designing secure, highly scalable, and performant enterprise solutions across multi-org landscapes. The Salesforce Architect oversees data modeling, system integrations, security governance, and the adoption of core Salesforce capabilities alongside emerging platforms like Data Cloud and Agentforce AI.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Solution Architecture: Translate complex business capabilities and multi-department requirements into end-to-end technical blueprints, data models, and system flows.
Integration Strategy & Governance: Architect real-time and batch integration patterns (REST/SOAP APIs, Pub/Sub, Event-Driven Architecture, middleware/MuleSoft) between Salesforce and legacy/external enterprise systems.
Data Architecture & Management: Design scalable data models (standard and custom objects), manage large data volumes (LDV), and establish archiving strategies to optimize query performance and stay within governor limits.
Technical Governance & Best Practices: Lead Architectural Review Boards (ARB), set coding and declarative standards, and establish Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) pipelines using Salesforce DX and CI/CD tools.
Security & Compliance: Establish enterprise-grade identity management (SAML/SSO, OAuth), data encryption, record-level sharing rules, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2) frameworks.
Modern Platform & AI Adoption: Evaluate and incorporate modern platform capabilities—including Data Cloud, Agentforce autonomous AI agents, Einstein, and Industry Clouds—into the enterprise roadmap.
Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical leadership to Salesforce Developers, Solution Architects, and Administrators, while advising C-level stakeholders on platform strategy and technical trade-offs.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience: 8+ years of experience in Salesforce ecosystem development and design, with at least 3+ years operating as a primary System or Application Architect.
Core Technical Competencies:
Expert-level understanding of core Salesforce clouds (Sales, Service, Experience, Data Cloud).
Deep knowledge of programmatic customization (Apex, LWC), declarative tools (Flow), and native platform capabilities.
Mastery of enterprise integration patterns, identity and access management (IAM), and multi-tier system topologies.
Experience handling Large Data Volumes (LDV) and optimizing SOQL/indexing for platform performance.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications:
Salesforce Certified Application Architect or System Architect
Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) – Highly Preferred
Hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform or enterprise iPaaS implementations.
Background designing agentic AI workflows using Salesforce Agentforce or native generative AI capabilities.
